NEET UG 2024: Supreme Court to Hear Petitions Related to NTA's Decision
Latest Update: NTA Releases Final Revised Scorecards for NEET UG 2024
SC Hearing on NTA's Decision to Conduct Re-test
The Supreme Court of India has commenced hearing on a batch of petitions related to the National Testing Agency's (NTA) decision to conduct a re-test for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2024 examination. The NTA had initially conducted the NEET UG exam on May 5, 2024, but allegations of paper leak prompted the agency to announce a re-test on June 23, 2024.
The petitions before the Supreme Court challenge the NTA's decision to conduct a re-test, arguing that it is unfair to the lakhs of candidates who had already appeared for the exam and performed well. The petitioners contend that the NTA has not provided sufficient evidence to support its claims of paper leak and that the re-test will only cause unnecessary stress and anxiety to the students.
The Supreme Court is expected to hear arguments from both sides before making a final decision on whether to allow the NTA to conduct the re-test. The outcome of the hearing will have significant implications for the lakhs of candidates who have been eagerly awaiting the results of the NEET UG 2024 exam.
